HEAD, INFORMATION & PUBLIC RELATIONS
The Information and Public Relations Department is one of the statutory Units in the Main Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). The activities of the Department are supervised by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office (PS-GSO). The Information and Public Relations Department is saddled with the responsibility of projecting positively the image of OSGF via the media. It is involved in the dissemination of timely and appropriate information from the Presidency to the public and vice-versa. The overarching objective of the Unit is to serve as the purveyor of information for the engine room of government.
MANDATE
The Mandate of the Unit is to ensure effective positioning of OSGF in the media and ensure that timely and appropriate messages are disseminated to the public so as to enlighten and educate the population on various activities and programmes of the government. It is a publicity agent for government activities.
