In his words: “He brought a very positive transformation to the media and publicity outfit of the Office of the Secretary of the Government of the Federation when he assumed duty there in 2023. And what that simply means is that, he changed the face of the Public Relations Department of that Office. Segun, I’m very proud of you. Mr. Segun served severally in so many committees, for which the SGF chaired, and in some cases for which, I became the sub-committee chairman, and he really excelled in his duties as a Public Relations expert. I’m happy that you are leaving the service with a very remarkable image that you have created for yourself and for the nation.”

For the outgoing Director of Finance and Accounts, Emmanuel Aondoakaa, he said:
Mr. Aondoakaa is a very professional and intelligent officer, who worked assiduously to ensure government’s policies are implemented in good time .He did not only serve as Director, Finance and Accounts, he also served as my Special Advisor of Finance and Financial matter. Because we the Permanent Secretaries and the Accounting Officers sometimes goof. But he always scrutinise everything and revert to the Permanent Secretary or draw his attention to the underlying issue.

In the same vein, for the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Biodun Ogunmefun, the SGF said: “I like the way he work, give Ogunmefun a task, he will remain in the Office until he delivers the task. He will remain in the office and work until he delivers. He has displayed selflessness in the discharge of his duties, which is highly commendable”.

Having thanked the SGF for the approval given for organizing a befitting ceremony in honour of the outgoing Directors, the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana said that celebrating Directors who have served their fatherland meritoriously is very paramount in the Federal Civil Service, which according to him underpins the celebration.
